PEG TODLOSKI, OUTSIDER ARTIST.

Peg Todloski is a self-taught outsider artist based in North Carolina. Her journey began in the badlands of the New Jersey suburbs where sinkholes, catholic school and fainting spells helped shape her appreciation for the absurd, comic relief and the dark side of everything.

 

Through her artistic practice she shares her love of nature, comedy and whimsy. Her creative endeavors started out in her childhood with neighborhood art classes and carried through to exploratory art classes in her short, but impactful college experience.

 

She hones her undisciplined artistic practice through the years making art with themes of religion, death, humor, and nature. Peg most often creates in acrylic paint and paint markers on a variety of mediums and has had a long pursuit of exploring art through sculpture, painting, and mixed media.

 

Much like comedy, she believes art is everywhere, is for everyone and should have no rules whatsoever.
